Science happens on the edge of what is known.
Edge, the Cambridge Science Festival’s first national video contest, demonstrates how science, technology, engineering and math can surprise us, inspire us, or simply make us laugh. Create a video to raise awareness about cancer, a mock news cast on cloning, or super fast animation of the Big Bang. Make us laugh or cry, your videos can be light-hearted, corny, or serious; just remember to keep a smile on your face behind the scenes. Deadline is April 10, 2010!
Here are some tips to keep your video fresh and exciting:
- Music! A good soundtrack can make or break a video.
- Own it! Be fully invested in what you are doing - commit!
- Give it a good title. An interesting title with words like 'exclusive' or 'behind the scenes' in it attracts a larger audience.
- Try to use a proper video camera. Cell phone videos are acceptable, but a higher quality camera will keep your audience interested.
