Teachers will manipulate sequences using SnapGene Viewer (a free online program), practice PCR primer design, and learn about different DNA and cloning methods. In addition, participants will explore the BLAST Sequence Analysis Tool, and review gel electrophoresis techniques to provide the best results for your students. This workshop is self-paced, but teachers are required to attend 2 of 3 possible office hours scheduled for April 15th, April 20th, and April 23 from 4:00 – 5:00 PM.

    Festival

    Cambridge Science Festival, the first of its kind in the United States, is a madcap celebration of science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM). A multifaceted, multicultural event, the Festival makes science accessible, interactive, and fun, highlighting the impact of STEAM in all our lives.
