Cambridge Science Festival 2024

Monday September 23 – Sunday September 29

Cambridge Science Festival (CSF) is a week-long community-led event taking place at venues all across the city of Cambridge, Massachusetts. At last year’s Festival, we listed more than 200 events at more than 90 venues — every one completely free and open to the public — and we’re confident this year will have even more to offer.

If you’re interested in organizing an event at CSF 2024 but missed our Call for Entry, email with as many details about your event as you can, and we will do our best to fit you in to this year’s program.

Read on for a few of this year’s programs, and sign up to our mailing list to be the first to hear when our full 2024 Program Guide goes live.

Monday 9/23 — Sunday 9/29

In the Neighborhood is Cambridge Science Festival’s most extensive and diverse series, celebrating the full range of talent and expertise across the City of Cambridge.

In this series, we present events on any topic, in any format, at any venue! Workshops, lectures, panel discussions, demonstrations, tours, performances, networking events and so on – there’s space for everything in this neighborhood.

Monday 9/23 — Friday 9/27    12-1pm

Lunch & Learn is a city-wide series of bitesize events running daily from Monday September 23 to Friday September 27, from 12-1pm. Each lunchtime during the Festival is an opportunity to learn or to share – an invitation to bring something new into your working day.

Lunch & Learn events are mainly (but not exclusively) lectures, discussions or short tours, and focus on a wide range of topics. Some Lunch & Learn offer catering for attendees, others are ‘bring your own’. The program will be announced and open for reservations in the last week of August.

Sunday 9/29    12-4pm

The final day of CSF is a family-friendly science extravaganza! A celebration of curiosity in all its forms, CARNIVAL is a fabulous day-out for innovation-enthusiasts of all ages. With more than 15,000 visitors in just four hours, and over 100 activity booths, this madcap afternoon of STEAM-themed fun and games is a firm favorite, and returns once again to the Kendall/MIT Open Space.
