The Science Carnival

A family-friendly science extravaganza!

CSF’s flagship event returns, bringing together the entire Cambridge community for a madcap day of STEAM-themed family fun. Sign up now and bring your activity booth to this year’s CARNIVAL — a Festival highlight for inquisitive visitors of all ages.

When is it?

CARNIVAL takes place on Sunday September 29, from 12-4pm, on the final day of CSF 2024. Participants arrive earlier in the day to set up booths and prepare your activities.

Where is it?

CARNIVAL takes place at the Kendall/MIT Open Space, 292 Main St, Cambridge, MA 02142.

The Kendall/MIT Open Space is a large outdoor plaza with a combination of grass and paved areas. For CARNIVAL, we close the roads that surround the Open Space to create a pedestrian-friendly environment, and fill the entire space with STEAM-themed, family-friendly activities.

How do I get involved?

Just follow the registration button at the bottom of this page! Don’t forget to read the CARNIVAL Call for Entry Guide before you fill in the form.

The only restriction we place on booths and activities is that there can be no vending of any sort at CARNIVAL.

Call for Entry

The Call for Entry has two purposes:

  • To give the CSF team as much information as possible about your CARNIVAL activity booth.
  • To create your listing in the Digital Program Guide, giving the CSF team the promotional materials required to help publicize your booth.

Make sure you’ve read through the CARNIVAL Call for Entry Guide (opens in new window) before you begin, to make sure you don’t have to stop and start again.

REGISTER YOUR EVENT

The deadline for completing the Call for Entry is June 15.
