Pin Cas9 on the Gene!

Come play a game of “pin the Cas9 on the gene” with scientists from Merck Research Laboratories! Learn about CRISPR, gene editing, and how this helps us discover new medicines. Be sure to test your skills and knowledge for the chance to win a prize!

Merck Research Laboratories – Cambridge officially opened this past spring, and we thought being a part of the Cambridge Science Festival would be a great way to get out and meet the community! Our game of “pin the Cas9 on the gene” presents a fun way to teach carnival guests of all ages a little about how CRISPR works (What is CRISPR? What is Cas9? What is functional genomics?) and what scientists can do with these tools to improve lives around the world.
