Protecting Biodiversity – Urban Forests
The walk helps convey the impact of land use and climate change on urban forest habitats. Two major and distinct environmental crises that threaten all life worldwide are the ecological crisis–the radical loss of biological diversity–and climate change. Last year, The United Nations called on all governments and the public to address these two crises collaboratively, so that solutions to one do not impede solutions to the other. Are you willing to step up to answer the call and make a difference? There is no time to waste and the help of every single person is needed. Join us and learn how to help biodiversity and climate sciences through ecological-systems-focused participatory science. You’ll also get a chance to document various species interactions and associations, collecting data that will become part of EwA’s open datasets.
