How does our plastic waste contribute to climate change?

You’ve heard the phrase “reduce, reuse, recycle”, but why does that prevent Climate Change?

Join the founders of the youth-led non-profit, Eco Circle International, as they follow the life-cycle of a plastic water bottle, and how it contributes to Climate Change. Then complete their challenge to reduce your own greenhouse gas emissions via waste!

1. Watch the video about the greenhouse gas emissions as a result of product production, and use this to reflect on your own relationship with waste.

2. Use the Waste Audit Guide to conduct an audit of week 1, reflect on your waste and how to reduce it, and then complete the second audit to see if you have reduced their overall greenhouse gas emissions as a result of waste.

3. Submit the results from your experiment using this form.
