Scientists Explain! Why Do We Get Sick?

Meet a group of cool scientists and learn about the cool work they do!

My immunologist (that’s someone who studies the immune system) friends and I love to think about how the body fights bad germs like COVID-19, the flu, or chickenpox. And we get a lot of questions from kids just like you asking – what happens when we get sick? So we decided to make this video, where we all took turns explaining how germs work and the body’s fight squad that defends against these nasty germs – the immune system!

Next time you feel sick, you’ll know what’s going on in your body and cells!
