DESCRIPTION
Alex Makes Art will bring a unique set of materials and craftsmanship to Cambridge Science Fest. You’ll find a variety of merino wool based flowers that have been die-cut to emulate a handful of native Massachusetts flora. After participants craft up their bud at the BioMed booth, they can watch Alex add it to the dangling structure that will line the back of the booth. Add raw wool to your bud and other “zhuzh” to make your portion of this installation as unique as you are.
Learn about the 7,000 year old method of wet felting, have your hand at needle felting with raw pieces of wool, and enjoy assembling die-cut flowers to create this whimsical piece with Alexandra Adamo of Alex Makes Art and team!
This booth is sponsored by BioMed Realty.
